Michelle Ashton is a Manchester based performer and writer and founder of Messy Dress Productions. Whilst still at drama school she produced and acted in her first play Good Hidings (winner of the Forever Manchester award 2009) as part of the Not Part Of festival. Since graduating in 2010, Michelle has worked on several projects including; Shortworks at the Contact Theatre, From Outer Mongolia for Leeds Film Festival and a commercial for The News of the World.

She has recently returned to the UK after a 5 month tour of Italy with Smile, an initiative to help children learn English through theatre. Michelle has also played the role of Lucy in her second attempt at playwrighting - FINE - which was also performed as part of the Not Part Of festival.
